Are you passionate about innovation in diagnostics and eager to shape the future of point-of-care testing? We are looking for an R&D Scientist / Technology Manager to join our growing diagnostic point-of-care business at Actim.

In this role, you will play a key part in developing new immunodiagnostic tests and driving R&D projects from idea to implementation in a regulated IVD environment.

Your Role

As an R&D Scientist / Technology Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing new immunodiagnostic tests and methods

• Providing strong R&D expertise, including understanding of technologies and assay design

• Managing selected R&D projects from planning to execution

Key Responsibilities

• Leading R&D projects, including planning, scheduling, and operative project work

• Coordinating R&D testing in internal and external laboratories

• Managing external performance evaluations and clinical studies

• Analyzing test results, drawing conclusions, supporting decision-making, and ensuring clear documentation

• Contributing to the product ideation process and conducting pre-feasibility studies

• Providing R&D support to production, marketing, and sales

Your Background and Skills

You are a great fit for this role if you have:

• An MSc or PhD in biotechnology, biochemistry, microbiology, or a related field

• Hands-on experience with immunological methods

• Experience in product development and project management

• Familiarity with IVD products and working in a regulated environment (ISO, IVD, IVDR)

• A passion for R&D, innovation, and problem-solving

• Strong organizational skills and a proactive, can-do attitude

• Fluency in Finnish language
